Margaret^6 Sophia Van Wickle
(Jacob^5, Nicasius^4, Simon^3, Evert^2, Jentie^1 Jeppes)was b. 26 December 1793, Middlesex Co., NJ. She died 2 March 1816 and was bur. St. Peters, Spottswood, NJ. She married on 27 May 1811 to Brig. General Obadiah Herbert, III of Herbertsville, NJ (b. 13 June 1775 Mt. Pleasant, NJ and d. January 1856, Herbertsville, NJ--bur. Old Bridge Cem. with 2nd wife). Obadiah's second marriage in 1836 was to Catherine Stout. Obadiah's Herbertsville residence was 18,000 acres. Obadiah started as a Lt. in 1806 and eventually rose to rank of Brig. General.

Children: (Major) Jacob^7 Van Wickle Herbert, b. 25 April 1812, Herbertsville, Middlesex, NJ. He died 9 June 1899. He married Eliza Jane Smock (b. 1812) on 5 May 1836. Margaret was the dau. of Garret Smock; Sarah^7 Eliza Herbert, b. abt. 1814, NJ and d. 7 August 1888. She married James C. Stout (b abt. 1807/8 and d. 29 January 1878; Margaret^7 Sophia Herbert, b. 2 March 1816, NJ. Her mother probably died in childbirth having her. She married George Alexander Willis (of Brooklyn, NY) on 12 December 1833 in St. Peters, Spottswood, NJ
